I am your instructor, Miriam Laytner. I am a PhD student in Anthropology at the CUNY Graduate Center and a professional oral historian. My background is in tourism and I currently work on the intersecting ideas of nature and the sacred in the United States, especially in the climate movement. I look forward to learning in community with you!Please take some time to peruse this course site. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions!“Syllabus” provides important information and an overview of the course, while “course schedule” is exactly that–the course schedule, broken down day by day! Files that are not open access can be found under the “Files” tab, which is only available to current students. “Additional Resources” is a great place to share anything you find interesting that relates to the class or your fellow students! Finally, “Discussion” is where you will be interact with your fellow students and submit most of the semester’s assignments. It is also only available to current students.
